    Hill Top – Beatrix Potter’s Home (National Trust)  Just a short walk across the fields in front of the cottage. A beautifully preserved 17th‑century farmhouse where Beatrix Potter wrote many of her famous stories. 👉Hill Top Farm

    Claife Viewing Station & Windermere West Shore A restored Victorian viewing point with coloured glass panels and stunning lake views. Lovely flat lakeside walks. 👉Claife Viewing Station

    Wray Castle A striking mock‑Gothic castle with woodland trails and lakeside paths. Great for families. A new addition in 2026 is a sapling from the sycamore gap tree, lovingly nurtured and planted by the Lake shore for all our guests to see.
